Chapter 112 Moving House for the Wolf and the Turtle!

Charcoal didn\'t quite understand what he meant, and after glancing at him, Fang Ye directly squatted down, put his hands under Charcoal\'s armpits, and lifted him as one would lift a dog.

Only this \'dog\' weighed over fifty kilograms!

Charcoal was lifted up, his eyes as round as saucers and his face showing a silly expression, before being placed onto the vehicle. As soon as he was set down, he took off running back the way he came, bounding with enthusiasm. He turned back to give Fang Ye a smug look as if he thought Fang Ye was playing a game with him.

Fang Ye felt helpless! Charcoal was quick to rub against him and run off; he had not managed to stop him just now.

After lifting him into the transport vehicle again, he tried to block the cage door with his body to prevent Charcoal from getting out, while waving to Mizzle behind him, "Mizzle, come here, come here!"

However, when he turned his head, Charcoal slipped out through the gap beside him and scurried away.

Normally, during caging, a piece of meat or something would be placed inside to entice the animal in with food, and once they entered, the cage would snap shut. Fang Ye was trying to use his own charm to get the two wolves inside, which turned out to be somewhat frantic.

Food enticement was more straightforward than anything!

Including when the park closed at night and the animals had to return to their shelters; food was used to lure them back. An animal keeper would call out, and the animals would follow the sound, knowing they were expected to return for some delicious meat waiting for them.

The animal keepers found it amusing to watch Charcoal running around gleefully and not obediently entering his cage. At that moment, Lan Li constructively suggested, "Director, why don\'t you let Mizzle in first? If Mizzle goes inside, maybe Charcoal will follow her."

"That\'s right, makes sense! You\'re indeed an assistant I\'ve trained well," Fang Ye raised his eyebrows and gave a big thumbs up.

"Hehe," Lan Li giggled and stuck out her tongue sheepishly.

Mizzle was quite obedient; with a little push towards the door of the vehicle cage, she knew to go inside.

Firstly, she had scrutinized everyone carefully as the keepers had entered, and except for Meng Shi who seemed somewhat threatening, everyone else\'s eyes and expressions were quite gentle.

Plus, she had just greeted Fang Ye and felt he was a trustworthy member of the wolf pack, so she was more cooperative with the movement.

After entering, she howled with authority, calling for Charcoal. Sure enough, Charcoal came running in obediently, opened his wide mouth, and engulfed most of Mizzle\'s head with a "grrr," looking proud as if to say, "Wife, see how well I\'m doing?"

After holding on for quite a while without letting go, Mizzle seemed a bit annoyed, shook her head to get his mouth off, and then bit down on Charcoal\'s head in return. However, her mouth was smaller, and even when she opened it ferociously to its fullest, she could only cover less than half of Charcoal\'s muzzle, a row of sharp, white canine teeth resting on Charcoal\'s nose.

Charcoal obediently squinted his eyes, enjoying Mizzle\'s dominant affection. Although he was a burly Big Wolf, he looked utterly like a well-behaved baby, his mouth corners turned upwards in happiness.

The small wheels of the transport vehicle rustled over the ground, and amidst the wolves\' nibbling and cooing at each other, they quickly arrived at the wolf exhibit!

They were let out into the shelter and then the outdoor activity area was opened up.

The wolves arrived at the exhibit and the first thing they saw was a vibrant growth of small grasses on gravel grounds, lush trees, verdant bushes, undulating rocks, and logs lying on the ground. They looked around incredulously!

Charcoal immediately became excited, spread out his paws and ran outside, jumping onto a protruding rock, while Mizzle, although she seemed very surprised, remained cautious. She looked left and right, hesitant to move forward.

After prolonged observation of the wolves, animal behaviorists have divided their personalities into two main categories. The first type of wolf is outgoing, bold and decisive, often acting without thinking, but when faced with unfamiliar situations or emergencies, they may easily be defeated.

The second type of wolf is the complete opposite: cautious by nature, they patiently observe the development of events and act only after careful consideration, which increases the likelihood of success, although they might also miss opportunities.

If wolves were compared to students, the first type would be the brash type, who hastily begins working on the test paper, finishing it quickly without checking the questions or reviewing their answers, resulting in volatile scores—they could score 50 on one test and 90 on another.

The second type would be the cautious student, who carefully reviews the questions before starting, checks their work multiple times, and only fills in the answers when they are confident. They leave uncertain answers blank initially, to reconsider them before submitting the test.

This method ensures accuracy, but they work slowly and might end up with incomplete answers, or they may not have the time to fill in the blanks before the teacher collects the papers. Usually, they can consistently score around 70.

In a wolf pack, the leader is not a single individual; generally, it is a pair of wolves acting as leaders, usually composed of two different personality types, which complements each other. Charcoal and Mizzle happen to be such a complementary pair.

Charcoal, brimming with enthusiasm, lifted his leg and marked a big tree with a splash of urine, then quickly ran to the opposite hillside before returning. He raised his head and started howling with his resonant voice, "Awww—oo~", the howl ending with a short, deep aftertone.

His joyous howling sounded excited, his tail wagging nonstop as if to urge Mizzle, "Hurry over here, there\'s something great on this side!"

And Mizzle responded with her own melodious howl, seemingly replying, "Be careful! Don\'t stray too far!"

The two wolves explored the enclosure one after the other, everything so fresh and fascinating for them.

Fang Ye observed for a while and then left contentedly!

Next, he took Little Black, the Asian forest tortoise, to its new home.

After being placed on the ground, Little Black stuck out its limbs and head from its shell after a while, gradually stretching its neck and looking around: palms, banana plants, bamboo—tropical flora was all around.

Tortoises don\'t express their feelings as obviously as wolves, so Fang Ye discreetly activated the Eye of Observation and checked; Little Black was feeling [Excited/Curious].

It seems to like the environment quite a lot too!

Little Black moved its black-scaled limbs and slowly climbed up a pile of sunny, yellow, fallen leaves before reaching a flat rock, seemingly ready to bask in the sunlight.

Hey, what\'s that greenish pool over there? Can it even take a bath?

Little Black climbed off the rock and hurried towards the hot spring pool, moving its limbs clumsily yet determinedly—it was quite amusing.

Even at its fastest, a tortoise can\'t really move quickly; the Guinness World Record for the fastest tortoise is a South African leopard tortoise, which managed to cover 100 meters in six minutes—essentially the Usain Bolt of the tortoise world.

However, a soft-shelled turtle does have an explosive burst of speed; those who haven\'t seen a turtle move might think it has rocket boosters on its limbs. When it runs, it\'s like a blast of wind, so fast that even a rabbit wouldn\'t stand a chance.
